Wrangell Wilderness Fishing Experience

Day 1 - Arrive Wrangell, likely arrive afternoon.
Day 2 - Stikine River excursion - The Stikine River is one of the last great pristine wilderness areas remaining….  Rugged and spectacular… beauty and everywhere you look. The Stikine River referred to as the “Great River” by the natives of the region is the fastest free-flowing navigable river in North America and is surrounded by vast untouched wilderness.  Day trips or multi-day tours on the river offer you the opportunity to experience some of Alaska’s true wild places.  With the speed and comfort of modern jet boats a day on the river is the ultimate in “soft adventure” excursions. 
Day 3- Fishing – depart today with your fishing captain – vessel usually has no more than 3 -4 fishers at a time.  Depending on time of year fish for halibut, salmon or cod.
Day 4- Another fishing day
Day 5 - LeConte Glacier excursion with a stopover in neighboring Petersburg for a little cultural excursion -  LeConte Glacier is 38 miles from Wrangell by boat.  The Glacier itself is 35 km long and is Northern hemisphere’s southern most calving glacier, located in a       stunningly beautiful fjord.  The glacier is extremely active and has regular calving events and is famous for its “shooters” (massive submarine icebergs dramatically rising to the surface). The fjord where the glacier terminates is surrounded by steep snow capped mountains adorned with waterfalls. LeConte Glaciers’ calving events produce a phenomenal collection of bergs making a great place for you to experience the best of what Alaska has to offer.
Day 6- Fishing
Day 7 - if it's still good bear viewing, maybe visit the Anan Bear and Wildlife Observatory or if not, another day of fishing!
Day 8 - Leave for home

The above tour is not date specific so you can choose your own start date. Please specify preferred starting date in “comments” when adding to your shopping cart.

(Single, triple and Quad available. Put in the total number of people to occupy each room.  Pricing is based on 2 people per room. Occupancy of 1, 3 or 4 people per room is priced differently and a quote will be returned to you for your approval before booked.  Multiple rooms need to be booked separately. Please inquire if you have questions).

Reservations are taken on a first come first served basis and not considered confirmed until a confirmation email is returned within 2 business days.  Transportation within Alaska is included but airfare to/from Alaska is not included.
